MaryBeth specializes in educational and scientific illustration and art education. She majored in chemistry and biology in Kansas City, Missouri and completed a Master’s Degree in Biochemistry at Georgetown University. It was there that she realized a strong interest in educational graphics. Art education was pursued first in Minnesota and continues in Washington State where she resides with her husband and two collies.

Her work includes a book by a magician for “bigger kids” in the corporate world, illustration for a local nature center, book illustrations for a state park and illustrations for school lab manuals.

“My goal as an artist is to attempt to capture the wonder of discovery and joy so inherent to childhood and transmit it through illustrations of everyday learning illustrations. I would love for the viewer to experience a true joy of learning when they look at my illustrations.”
